Description: A large, polished hot Pink freeform Gem Rhodochrosite Cabochon that measures 3 inches across and weighs a hefty 5 ounces! As the photos clearly show - this piece is NOT the ordinary stalagtitic material this mine normally produces. Rather, it is composed of a complex, crystalline mass (cross-sections are quite visible!) of layered Trigonal forms. There is one unpolished area that is visible on the lower right of the photo above. The specimen has the awesome hot Pink color that this mine is so famous for - coupled with its size and weight it will surely make a beautiful display in any collection. Ex: Peggy Kidwell collection.
